  • Sweetener - for the low carb sweetener we use either allulose or monk fruit. Feel free to use the sweetener you prefer.
  • Lemon Juice - for a hint of of tartness but can be omitted.
  • Vanilla - adds a touch of sweetness.
  • Water - no sauce would be without the water.

How to make keto blueberry sauce

This keto blueberry sauce recipe is quick and easy to make. We don't use any thickeners such as xanthan gum as the berries simmer down to a thick enough sauce for us.

The ingredients for keto blueberry pancakes are in a pan on the stove.

Place all the ingredients in a pan and cook for 10 minutes.

Cool and store in a jar and serve.

Storage

Allow the keto blueberry sauce to cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container or jar. Seal the container tightly and store it in the refrigerator. Properly refrigerated, keto blueberry sauce can typically last for up to 1-2 weeks.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup allulose or other low carb sweetener
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, vanilla, lemon juice, sweetener and water. Cook over medium heat until the blueberries start to soften and release their juices, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Once the sauce has thickened to your liking, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

A serving is 2 tablespoons. The entire recipe makes about 2 cups of blueberry sauce.
