These keto cottage cheese cookies are deliciously soft and full of flavor. Once you bake a batch, you will be making more! With just 3 grams net carbs a cookie, they also have 8 grams of protein too.
These soft cookies taste like they have been made with a rich butter and egg instead of the cottage cheese. You cannot taste the cottage cheese at all. You would never know!

This cottage cheese cookie dough is very tasty. I could have eaten the bowl without supervision! It makes a great base as a low carb soft cookie dough for you to add your own flourish and flavors too.
Keep a careful eye on them when baking as my first batch were overcooked as I looked away for a couple of minutes. After 15 minutes of baking I now watch the oven carefully. The same eagle eyes need to be used on our cottage cheese chocolate chip muffins as I burnt the first batch!

Just 7 ingredients, without the addition of chocolate chips or nuts, are all you need to make these cookies with cottage cheese.

- Cottage cheese - use plain full fat cottage cheese.
- Almond flour - use finely ground almond flour. We are yet to test this recipe with coconut flour.
- Protein powder - we use a vanilla protein powder but a plain whey protein powder can be used too.
- Sweetener - Allulose was the sweetener of choice for us but you can substitute any other low carb sweetener..
- Vanilla - adds natural sweetener.
- Baking powder and salt - essential basics for any cookie recipe.
- Dark Chocolate chips - an optional ingredient but ensure they are low in sugar.
How to Make Keto Cottage Cheese Cookies
This is an easy low carb cookie to make with the key being to blend the cottage cheese first. We made chocolate chip cottage cheese cookies in these photos. There is another batch with pecans in further photos too.

Blend the cottage cheese until smooth.

Mix the dry ingredients.

Add the blended cottage cheese and vanilla to form a dough.

Use a cookie scoop and place the cookie dough balls on a baking tray.

Flatten with a spoon.

Ready to bake!
Storage
It's best to store the cookies in the refrigerator. Place them in an airtight container or zip-top bag to prevent them from drying out or absorbing odors from other foods in the fridge.

Ingredients
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 ½ cups almond flour
- ¼ cup vanilla protein powder
- ½ cup allulose
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 170C/350F degrees and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Blend the cottage cheese in a food processor or blender until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the almond flour, protein powder, salt and baking powder and mix well.
- Add the blended cottage cheese and vanilla and stir to combine into a cookie dough.
- Stir in any additional flavors such as sugar-free chocolate chips, shredded coconut or chopped nuts (optional).
- Use a medium cookie scoop place balls of the cookie dough on the parchment lined baking sheet.
- Flatten each cookie slightly with the back of a spoon or your fingers.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, keeping an eye on them, so they don't burn.
- Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
