Are peaches keto friendly?
Peaches can be enjoyed on a keto diet, but with caution. While they are relatively low in carbs compared to other fruits, they still contain natural sugars that can add up. A medium-sized peach typically has about 12-15 grams of total carbs, with around 2 grams of fiber, resulting in about 10-13 grams of net carbs.
Ingredients
All you need to make this ice cream recipe are five keto friendly items. We use the ice cream recipe from our ice cream bars as it's easy to make and creamy.
- Peaches - Fresh peaches bring natural sweetness and a subtle tartness.
- Heavy cream - The backbone of the ice cream, heavy cream gives it a luxurious, creamy consistency. It’s high in fat and low in carbs, ideal for the keto diet.
- Sweetener - Allulose is our favorite low carb sweetener to make ice cream but other low carb sweeteners can be substituted.
- Egg - Helps to stabilize the mixture, resulting in a smoother, creamier texture without the need for churning.
- Vanilla extract - Adds warmth and depth to the ice cream’s flavor profile, enhancing the sweetness and creaminess of the dessert.
How to Make Keto Peach Ice Cream
This recipe doesn't use an ice cream maker but you could always try one for extra creaminess.
- Peel the peaches, remove the stone and place in a blender.
- Blitz until smooth.
- Make the ice cream custard.
- Add the peach puree.
- Spoon into an air tight container and freeze.
- Serve and enjoy.
Recipe Tips
If you want a super smooth texture, use frozen peach slices. Blend them into the cream mixture before freezing. This can help eliminate the need for stirring during the freezing process.
Adding a tablespoon of vodka to the mixture can prevent the ice cream from freezing too hard. This works because alcohol doesn’t freeze, keeping the ice cream scoopable right out of the freezer.
Storage
Keto peach ice cream can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1-2 weeks. To prevent ice crystals from forming, press a layer of plastic wrap or parchment paper directly on the surface before sealing the container. When ready to serve, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly for easier scooping.

Ingredients
- 2 large peaches
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup allulose or other low carb sweetener
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Start by pureeing the peeled and diced peaches in a blender or food processor until smooth. For a more textured ice cream, leave some small peach chunks.
- In a medium saucepan add the cream, vanilla, sweetener and egg on a low heat and whisk for 3 minutes.
- Set aside to cool, then place in the fridge for 2 hours to firm.
- Remove from the fridge and gently fold the peach puree into the cream mixture, ensuring an even distribution of the peach flavor. If you prefer a stronger peach flavor, consider adding an additional half peach.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container. Place it in the freezer for about 1-2 hours, just until the edges begin to firm up.
- Remove from the freezer and stir the semi-frozen mixture vigorously with a fork or whisk to break up any ice crystals. Repeat this stirring process every 30 minutes for the next 2-3 hours. This step mimics the churning process of an ice cream maker, resulting in a smooth texture.
- Before serving, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly.

I like and try to do almost all your recipes. In this "Keto Peach Ice Cream” I think there is something that doesn´t fit in the Nutrition site:
Total carbs: 6g
Net carbs: 6 g
Fiber: 1 g
If Net Carbs = Total carbs - Fiber = 6 - 1 = 5 Net Carbs
Thank you for your fine recipes!

That's probably a rounding issue with the software that calculates the information, but I have amended the recipe card.
