What is Keto Honey?
Traditional honey is not suitable for a keto diet due to its high sugar content, which can significantly impact blood sugar levels and kick the body out of ketosis. However, keto honey substitutes traditional honey with low-carb sweeteners that have minimal or no impact on blood sugar.
Keto honey alternatives often use ingredients such as sugar alcohols like erythritol or natural sweeteners like stevia or monk fruit extract. These sweeteners provide a sweet taste without the high carbohydrate content. Some keto honey products may also include additional flavorings or extracts to enhance the honey-like flavor.
While keto honey may not have the exact same taste and consistency as traditional honey, it can be a suitable replacement in various recipes, including sauces, dressings, and baked goods. It allows individuals on a keto diet to enjoy a hint of sweetness without compromising their carbohydrate intake or overall dietary goals.
The brands of keto honey we use are the Besti Honey and ChocZero Sugar Free Honey.

- Apple Cider Vinegar - use a organic brand that contains the "mother," which is a beneficial colony of bacteria and enzymes that contribute to its health benefits and give it a cloudy appearance.
- Sweetener - for a richer flavor we use brown monk fruit sweetener. Any other low carb sugar substitutes may be used.
