This light and airy dessert strawberry protein fluff combines the fresh flavor of strawberries with the richness of protein powder, making it a perfect post-workout snack or a healthy dessert. The fluffiness comes from whipping together frozen strawberries, protein powder, almond milk and ice, resulting in a voluminous, creamy delight that's both refreshing and filling.
Low in carbs, calories and high in protein, this is a great breakfast or dessert. And it's ready in under 10 minutes too!
This is such a quick and easy recipe to make for breakfast, or a sweet treat that it has had me playing with other flavors. I love a coffee one for that extra kick in the mornings! It's fascinating how ice in a food processor whips up a fluffy dessert. This reminded me of Angel Delight, a childhood dessert, but without the sugar.

What is Protein Fluff?
Protein fluff is a light, airy, and voluminous dessert or snack made primarily from protein powder, liquid (such as milk or water), and a thickening agent like xanthan gum or gelatin. The mixture is whipped at high speed, which incorporates air and gives it a fluffy texture similar to mousse. It’s popular among fitness enthusiasts because it’s low in calories, high in protein, and can be quite filling.
Ingredients
We have made this without any thickening agent and with just 4 ingredients.
- Frozen strawberries - These add natural sweetness and a vibrant strawberry flavor. The frozen texture helps create the fluffy consistency.
- Protein powder - Provides the muscle-building protein you need. Choose a flavor that complements the strawberries, such as vanilla or strawberry.
- Almond milk - A low-calorie, dairy-free milk alternative that adds creaminess without overpowering the other flavors.
- Ice - Helps achieve the light, airy texture that makes protein fluff so enjoyable
How to Make Strawberry Protein Fluff
Place all ingredients in a food processor.
Process until a firm and fluffy texture is formed.
Recipe Tips
For extra fluffiness, place the mixing bowl in the freezer for a few minutes before whipping the mixture. The cold bowl helps maintain the fluff’s texture.
Depending on the sweetness of your strawberries and protein powder, you may want to add a sweetener like stevia, monk fruit or a sugar-free syrup. Start with a small amount and adjust to taste.
For added texture and flavor, garnish your fluff with fresh strawberries, a sprinkle of nuts, or a drizzle of nut butter.
Eat Immediately
Protein fluff is best enjoyed right away, as it can lose its airy texture if stored for too long. I found this out the hard way and was disappointed when I went to the fridge later to find my fluff was now strawberry soup.
