Inspired by the coconut flour flatbread I wanted the same thing but with a more savoury taste. So out went the coconut flour and welcome back flax meal! Now I have a savory flat bread that is low in carbs and gluten free that I use as a wrap. Lunchtime sandwiches are back on for me! Woohoo!
INGREDIENTS
2 ½ tbs flax meal
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ tspn minced onion
garlic powder to taste
salt and pepper to taste
1 egg white
METHOD
- Whisk all ingredients until you have a smooth batter with no lumps.
- Heat a frying pan with a pat of butter on a medium heat and pour all the batter in the pan. Tilt the pan until the batter covers all of the bottom of the pan.
- Cook until the edges are brown, then flip over and cook the other side.
- Fill with your filling of choice.
- Eat and enjoy!

Tried, but butter is tick and will not spread. Something is missing.

Perhaps add some more liquid to the batter? Hope the next batch works out!
Darlene

I didn't add any, but my egg white may have been large. You can always add a bit of water if your batter is too thick.
Darlene
The batter was thick and paste like. Are you sure it is not 2 tsp. instead of tbp. Will try again with tsp.
