Inspired by the coconut flour flatbread I wanted the same thing but with a more savoury taste.  So out went the coconut flour and welcome back flax meal!  Now I have a savory flat bread that is low in carbs and gluten free that I use as a wrap.  Lunchtime sandwiches are back on for me! Woohoo!

INGREDIENTS

2 ½ tbs flax meal

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ tspn minced onion

garlic powder to taste

salt and pepper to taste

1 egg white

METHOD

  1. Whisk all ingredients until you have a smooth batter with no lumps.
  2. Heat a frying pan with a pat of butter on a medium heat and pour all the batter in the pan.  Tilt the pan until the batter covers all of the bottom of the pan.
  3. Cook until the edges are brown, then flip over and cook the other side.
  4. Fill with your filling of choice.
  5. Eat and enjoy!
