- 3-4 boneless and skinless medium-sized chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon cumin
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon Italian Seasoning herbs
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons avocado/olive oil (divided)
How to make blackened chicken?
Once you have the ingredients ready, the rest is pretty simple.
For a faster cooking time, pound the chicken out flat or filet them.
Mix all the spices in a bowl, dry the chicken breasts and coat them in oil. Dip the breasts into the spices and cook on a hot cast iron pan.
In place of the oil, use melted butter for a rich flavour.
What to serve with blackened chicken?
This dish can be served with pretty much anything, starting with a turnip gratin, cucumber salad. Also, if you are looking for a low-carb side dish, then enjoy it with spicy zucchini cauliflower rice, or brussels sprouts.

If you end up with leftovers, you can simply refrigerate for days to come. Simply, use a sealed container and store it in the fridge for up to 4 days.
You can reheat leftovers in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 5-7 minutes. Similarly, feel free to microwave the breasts for about 1-2 minutes, until warm.

Ingredients
- 4 medium chicken breasts boneless

Instructions
