Enjoy a creamy keto pumpkin spice martini over the holidays with this creamy martini full of the flavours of pumpkin pie. It does have a lot more of kick than pumpkin pie would deliver though!
I put this delicious keto pumpkin martini together after making a batch of my sugar free pumpkin spice Irish cream liquer. Vodka and rum were added, a cocktail shaker was shaken and the drink was poured.
“Taste this” I demanded of the Chief Taster, waving my martini glass at him. “It’s 9am” he said, shaking his head. “It’s research. I can have a nap later” was my cheeky reply! This martini is creamy, full of the flavours of pumpkin pie BUT it does have quite a kick. If you find it too strong, add some heavy cream to it. And perhaps serve over ice.
HOW TO MAKE A KETO PUMPKIN SPICE MARTINI
The joy of a martini is that it is a simple cocktail to make. Place ice in a cocktail shaker, pour all the ingredients, shake for a couple of minutes and pour into a martini glass.
I used a golden rum as that is my current favourite. As I am lucky enough to live in the Caribbean where rum is king, I could write all night about the virtues of a good rum. Many of you do not have the access to the good stuff as I do, so a “main-stream” golden rum should suffice. Unless you come across a bottle of Mount Gay or Chairmans. My holiday tip: Spiced rum? Run! It is not a good quality rum. We would NEVER drink that here.
I should point out that the blue bottom of the martini glass in my photos is the glass itself. Not a blue liqueur! I wanted a different glass than the ones I used for my pumpkin liquer and these are my only martini glasses.
