- 1 lb flank steak thinly sliced against the grain
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
- ¼ cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- red pepper flakes for a spicy kick optional
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, beef broth, and sesame oil. Add the beef slices, toss to coat, and let marinate for 15 minutes.
While marinating, bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the broccoli for about 1 minute; drain and set aside.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and ginger; stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Add the blanched broccoli to the pan and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes. Return the beef to the pan.
Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce has thickened. Adjust salt and pepper to taste, and add red pepper flakes if desired.
Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
