Chocolate Marzipan Easter Eggs
Servings: 20 eggs
Sugar free marzipan is formed into egg shapes, then covered with chocolate and decorated for a low carb Easter treat.
Roll a walnut sized ball of marzipan and shape it into an egg.
Cut in half lengthways or keep whole.
Melt the chocolate in a Bain Marie over a medium heat and stir until it has melted and is lump free.
Using a fork, dip the marzipan egg (or egg halves) into the chocolate and place on parchment paper.
Place all the chocolate covered eggs in the fridge to firm.
Decorate or leave plain.
Store the marzipan eggs in the fridge in a sealed container.
Makes about 20 eggs but this depend on the size you roll them and whether you cut them in half as I did.
The net carbs will be the total carb count minus the fibre count. Carb count excludes sugar alcohols.
