Creamy Fried Cabbage

  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • ½ head white cabbage shredded
  • 1 red bell pepper deseeded and cut into strips
  • 1 sweet onion peeled and sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 oz cream cheese


  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan.
  • Add the onion and garlic and sautee for 5 minutes until soft and golden.
  • Add the red pepper and cabbage and cook for 5-8 minutes until soft, not soggy.
  • Add the cream cheese and stir until soft and smooth.
  • Season to taste.
  • Eat and enjoy!
