Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Flaxseed - golden ground
  • 5 Egg whites
  • 3 Egg yolks
  • 5 tablespoons Coconut/olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180C/350F degrees.
  • Whisk the egg whites until stiff.
  • In another bowl, blend the flax seed, baking powder, salt and oil.
  • Add the egg yolks, water and apple cider vinegar.
  • Gently fold the egg whites into the flaxseed mixture.
  • Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for 30 minutes until firm and golden.
  • Eat and enjoy!

Notes

You can use either ground brown or golden flaxseeds
Apple cider vinegar can be replaced with 2 tablespoons lemon juice.
The net carbs will be the total carb count minus the fibre count. Carb count excludes sugar alcohols.
