Kale Crisps

These are just so moreish, but if you told many people what this is they will run as Kale does not wet a lot of appetites.  Just put a dish of this out, and watch it disappear within minutes once people taste it.    Kale is just so good for you too….it’s full of calcium, lutein, iron, vitamin A, C, E and K.  It is also full of beta-carotene, antioxidants and fibre.   I think it tastes a bit like crispy seaweed, which I also love.

Kale crisps are just a great way to eat this wonder food and fool others into munching it too!  Season it with what you like…here, I have spiced it up, but it is simply lovely with plain olive oil and salt.

200g Kale

1-2  tblspns olive oil

1 tspn garlic powder

1 tspn cumin

1 tspn red chilli flakes

So yummy…..

  • Preheat the oven to 175C/350F degrees.
  • Spread the Kale out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (you may need to do two batches).
  • Drizzle the olive oil over the kale and bake for 20 minutes, turning over half way.
  • Remove from oven and season with spices.
  • Eat and enjoy!
