These are just so moreish, but if you told many people what this is they will run as Kale does not wet a lot of appetites. Just put a dish of this out, and watch it disappear within minutes once people taste it. Kale is just so good for you too....it's full of calcium, lutein, iron, vitamin A, C, E and K. It is also full of beta-carotene, antioxidants and fibre. I think it tastes a bit like crispy seaweed, which I also love.
Kale crisps are just a great way to eat this wonder food and fool others into munching it too! Season it with what you like...here, I have spiced it up, but it is simply lovely with plain olive oil and salt.
INGREDIENTS
200g Kale
1-2 tblspns olive oil
salt
1 tspn garlic powder
1 tspn cumin
1 tspn red chilli flakes
METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 175C/350F degrees.
- Spread the Kale out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (you may need to do two batches).
- Drizzle the olive oil over the kale and bake for 20 minutes, turning over half way.
- Remove from oven and season with spices.
- Eat and enjoy!
