With BBQ season soon upon us, I thought it’s time to start getting some recipes ready. These burgers can be grilled, BBQ’d and cooked in a frying pan. The husband enjoyed these so they will definitely be appearing at my next BBQ.
I use chicken breast rather than ground chicken for a good quality burger. You are free to use ground chicken if you are not as fussy as us. The recipe below made 4 medium sized burgers.
2 chicken breasts
1 1/2 tspn oregano
1 small red onion, peeled and quartered
1/4 tspn garlic powder
30g Feta cheese, crunbled
- Mix all the ingredients except the Feta cheese in a food processor and blend.
- Remove the mixture and place in a bowl. Mix in the Feta cheese.
- Shape into patties and place on a plate. Cover and put in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- BBQ, grill or fry in a pan for about 6-8 minutes each side until golden.
- Eat and enjoy!
